Article 9 – Contract Ratification

The President shall call an informational meeting to explain the proposed contract agreed upon between the State and the negotiating committee. Within 10 days of said meeting a ballot shall be mailed to members in good standing, returnable no later than 15 days from the date of mailing. Ratification of a contract shall be by a simple majority of members in good standing responding to the mail ballot, said members voting for or against the proposed contract. Three members selected by the membership at the informational meeting will count the returned ballots.
