The 3rd Annual Suffolk County Court Employees Association Dinner Dance was held on Nov. 1, 2018 at the Watermill in Smithtown and it was a huge success. It was a great night to celebrate the men and women of our Association who make the courts work each and every day. We would like to thank all those who worked very hard to prepare for this night and make it as successful as it was. We are so appreciative of Barbara Ehlich for helping us out with the raffle baskets. She and our Treasurer, Carmen Palermo, did a wonderful job putting the baskets together. We would also like to thank retired Court Clerk Gail Chiappino for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. Nineteen judges attended our event to show their support for our members. We are so grateful for their continued support with a special thanks to Judge Martorana who bought seats for an entire table. He is, and always has been, a great supporter of our membership. Despite the fact that Judge Lozito had another commitment and could not attend, she made a very generous donation to our scholarship fund. For that we are very thankful. We would also like to thank those businesses that donated products for our raffle baskets: Mr. Joe Morrone from PC Richards who donated a 48 inch Television, Walmart who donated a bicycle and a $50.00 gift card, Mulberry Street Restaurant for donating a $25.00 gift card, and Jackson Hall Restaurant for donating a $25.00 gift card. Please support these businesses that have shown their support for our membership. A special thanks to Kris LaGrange, Brian Young, and Ryan Birch from UCOMM for taking photographs at our event. Please visit our website, if you haven't already done so, to take a look at the beautiful photos. Finally, I would like to thank Charlie Markert, Joey Gagnon, Danielle Vios, and Carmen Palermo for all the hard work that they put into making this event as great as it is. A lot of time and effort goes into preparing for the Dinner Dance and nothing could have been accomplished without the work and dedication of these four people.
Our annual dinner dance has become one of the highlights of the year for our Association. It is a night in which we celebrate who we are as an organization and is something we look forward to each and every year. If anyone has not attended the event in the past we would love to see you next year. We encourage everyone to attend. The date and time for next years event will be announced in the coming weeks and I look forward to sharing an incredible evening of food, drinks, music, and good times with everyone at our 4th Annual Dinner Dance.
